We have updated our HSIA Building Permit information page with the procedure to request a variance from HSIA Board of Directors.
Please plan to attend our November General Meeting on Thursday, November 14 at 7 pm, at The Key School Katharine Hall. We will have our election of HSIA Board Members and will be presenting the proposed FY2021 HSIA budget. Voting instructions & ballot available to download here and in the November 2019 Sea Breeze. You may bring your ballot to the General meeting or you can mail it to the HSIA P.O. Box 3485, Annapolis, MD 21403. Please remember that ballots that are not dropped off in person at the meeting require the signature of the HSIA member.
Hillsmere Residents- Our October issue contains bio’s for the nine candidates running for HSIA Board of Directors. Be sure to read all about them and plan to attend the Meet the Candidates event on Thursday, October 10 @ 7pm! Ballots will be published in our November issue, and the election will take place at the HSIA General Membership meeting on November 14. Make sure you are a current, paid HSIA member if you plan to vote!
Happy Labor Day Weekend!
All but three of the beaches tested Wednesday, as part of the Operation Clearwater program, were within acceptable limits. Please see the chart below for more details.
The beaches at Harbor Hills, Shoreham, and Southdown Shores exhibited elevated bacteria levels. Although we have not had much rain recently, warmer temperatures can sometimes cause bacteria cells to reproduce. However, it looks like we are in for a beautiful, clear, moderate temperature weekend! Just as a reminder, next week will be the last bacteria testing week of the season.
As per Anne Arundel County’s guidance, we recommend waiting 48 hours after a rainstorm before interacting with the water.
Have a great week and stay safe,
