DESCRIPTION:Come And Get It Day \nJoin us at The Key School (The Barn Commons 2nd floor)\, on Saturday\, February 8\, for our annual Hillsmere membership day. Stop by between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to renew memberships\, pick up car and trailer stickers\, purchase boat ramp keys\, pay for slip rentals\, dinghy rack rentals\, boat park storage\, and pool membership and learn more about the HSIA. Many board members and chairs will be available to answer questions. Please join us at Key School\, in The Barn Commons building off of Carroll Drive. Please remember that Come And Get It Day closes promptly at 2:00 pm. Thank you for your understanding. \nNew in 2020: Dues have increased to $25. All other fees remain the same. \nContinuing in 2020: Individual Membership versus Household Membership \nWhen reviewing our bylaws\, the Board of Directors discovered that HSIA bylaws allow only for individual\, not household\, memberships. For this reason\, the 2020 Membership form must be completed in the name of one individual\, not the name of the household. Additional individual memberships may be added to the membership form for any person age 18 or over residing at the same address. Dues are $25 for each individual membership\, and each individual member is entitled to one vote on HSIA matters. \nPlease remember: \n\nPhotocopy of ALL registrations required: HSIA will give you one sticker for each vehicle and trailer registration you provide along with your membership form. Please attach your photocopy to the HSIA membership form and bring it with you on Come & Get It Day. Or\, you can personally show us your registrations that day only.\nSlip Holders: Please remember to bring the slip invoice\, Marina Boat Slip Permit\, and HSIA membership form to Come And Get It Day\, or return all in the mail. You MUST submit all supporting documents listed on your invoice\, along with slip payment. PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS.\nPiers & Harbor Slip Waiting List: A onetime\, non-refundable fee of $100 is required to be added to the slip waiting list. DESCRIPTION:The Environmental Committee will hold regular meetings the second Tuesday of the month at 7pm in Room 102 of the Key School Science and Library Center (January 14\, February 11\, etc.). The December meeting included discussions on the Shoreline Protection and Restoration Committee and a petition to the County for deer management. Since the meeting was held\, the Chesapeake Bay Trust approved an application for a $2500 Anne Arundel County Community Mini-Planting Grant. HSIA will match the funds and 500 trees and shrubs will be planted during Earth Week with the help of Arundel Rivers Federation and Key School students.
