DESCRIPTION:Our Community Pig Roast & Final Happy Hour of the season has been rescheduled to Saturday\, September 29\, from 4 to 7 pm.\nPlease bring a chair\, a dish to share\, and your favorite adult beverage. Please remember\, no bottles at the beach\, cans only. This will be the last Pig Roast that “Head Smoker” Chuck Graves will be volunteering for\, as he and his wife Debbie will be moving to Wyoming next Spring. We’re planning some special surprises for this event. Be sure to attend and let’s hope for good weather!

DESCRIPTION:MARINA CLEANUP!– SATURDAY 9/29 10AM to NOON \nLET’S TRY THIS AGAIN!\nThe continuing flow of Conowingo Dam debris has hit Duvall Creek and the Hillsmere Marina again. We have already hauled out and accumulated lots of debris. \nPlease come out Saturday morning\, September 29\, from 10 a.m. to noon and help clean up the larger chunks of debris that have washed onto the Marina rip-rap and grass\, and into the Marina. The goal is to remove larger pieces of debris and plastic from the area. HSIA has hired a firm to remove the debris to either the County landfill or a to-be-provided County dumpster. We need to haul debris off the rip-rap and grass\, and out of the Marina waters\, and stack it in multiple piles at the edge of the gravel roadway. \nPlease bring boat hooks\, heavy rakes\, and GLOVES! Yard Waste bags may help\, too! \nThe two dozen of you who showed up on August 4th proved that many hands make light work! We need an hour of your time again! THANKS!
